What Is Pokémon Smash or Pass?

Pokemon Smash or Pass is an interactive and advanced pokemon rating game where users can go through each 1025 pokemon one by one and make a decision whether to smash or pass it.Instead of browsing the Pokemon database, this tool turns pokemon discovery into an interactive game. The pokemon appears on a card with its artwork, name, Pokedex number, type, category and description. Then the player decides whether they will smash or pass the Pokemon.

Also in this tool users can customise the Pokemon deck, filter pokemon by type, generation, region and can choose how pokemon are ordered, skip pokemon which are rated already, review their complete history, export their data and can generate sharable result cards.

Each and every choice contributes to the player's personal statistics, history, Pokedex progress, trainer level, trainer archetype, favourite type and overall smash or pass distribution. The Pokemon Smash or Pass tool algorithmically works by applying users' selected customised filters deck and presenting pokemon one at a time for smash or pass decisions then saving those decisions locally and then transforming the resulting data into history, statistics, trainer progression, Pokedex progress, leaderboards, exports and generating result cards.

Why was Pokémon Smash or Pass created?

As a Gamer I have researched multiple forums and go through different user feedbacks and interact one-to-one with Pokemon fans, understanding their core requirements. I have also analysed the existing and older pokemon smash or pass tool which simply includes static pokemon tool information or one button click like “which Pokemon do you like?” does not have the latest database, advanced features and filters, interactive UI and UX design and users can't export into modern file format and convert into sharable results and lacking users history, statistics and user profiles, etc and needs users login and signup.

After understanding and analysing user feedbacks and frustrations I created this advanced pokemon smash or pass tool which includes all the modern and advanced functionalities, features and filters with no login and signup, as my primary intention and aim is to transform Pokémon fans to go through pokemon one by one and make their own quick “ smash or pass ” decision with an interactive and fun game along with personalized Pokemon, along with all modern age UI and UX design, latest database, etc with more addictive and engaging gaming experience, track their progress, build a personal Pokemon trainer profile and share their results all in one tool.

My latest Pokemon Smash or pass tool allows users to discover their Pokemon preferences without compromising freedom to make choices. The tool turns those users' choices into useful stats , compare their choices, discover new features and see how their rating creates a long-term challenge for users to enjoy happily. The Idea was to make the Pokemon Smash or pass experience simple and easy to use by Pokemon fansbase along fast and addictive feel, while giving users something more than just a voting button.

Features Of Our Pokémon Smash or Pass Tool

The main strength of our Pokemon Smash or pass tool is the combination of gameplay, customization, statistics, history and sharing the results card.

  • No Account needed: Users don't need to create an account to play. There is no registration, username, password or login process in Pokemon Smash or pass tool. The intention is to just open the tool and then start rating Pokemon immediately.
  • Interactive Pokemon cards: In Pokemon Smash or pass tool each and every Pokemon is presented by an interactive card rather than plain text. The card contains pokemon artwork, number, name, category, types and description
  • Smash and pass voting: The core feature of the tool is the two-choice system, for Smash ( the player chooses the Pokemon) and pass ( the player skips the Pokemon). Therefore, each decision can become part of the user's personal history and statistics.
  • Swipe Based gameplay: The tools support card-style swiping, where users can move through pokemon naturally on mobile devices without tapping the button repeatedly, like swipe left to pass the Pokemon and swipe right to Smash the Pokemon. This is a very useful feature in our Pokemon Smash or pass tool because the tool is designed to work comfortably on mobile screens.
  • Previous and Next Navigation: The tool also allows manual navigation controls as well, users can use the previous button to move backward and the next button to move forward. This truly gives players more control over their position in the deck.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: The game isn't limited to touchscreens. Desktop users can use keyboard shortcuts to move the next Pokemon, return to the previous Pokemon and also to pass and smash the Pokemon. This makes the Pokemon Smash or pass tool usable across different devices.
  • Rating progress: The game tracks how many Pokemon have been rated by the users. If the user rates 250/1025 Pokemon, this means the player has rated 250 Pokemon out of the currently total available 1025 pokemons pool.
  • Local Pokemon leaderboard: The your local leaderboard section shows highest local voting data. It displays rank, Pokemon, and total vote count. This adds a ranking-style element to the game without requiring users to create accounts.
  • Specific vote breakdown: This tool can show the smash or pass distribution for an individual Pokemon. If a vote is stored for Bulbasaur the interface displays Smash count, pass count, smash % and pass %. This genuinely gives users a quick view of how the current Pokemon votes are distributed.
  • Advanced settings: The settings tab is the control center of the Pokemon deck where users can customise the experience before rating Pokemon. The setting includes 7 steps, these are deck size, display mode, types, generations, regions, legendary Pokémon, already-rated Pokémon.
  • Dynamic deck size: The Pokemon Smash or pass tool display like “ Deck Size: 1025/1025 pokey match current filters”. The deck shows currently eligible Pokemon to appear. When a user changes filters the deck size changes accordingly.
  • Random order: Instead of seeing Pokemon in Pokedex sequence, random order shuffles the eligible Pokemon so that the player receives a less predictable sequence.
  • Pokedex order: It shows Pokemon according to their Pokedex order like #001 Bulbasaur, #002 Ivysaur, #003 Venusaur, #004 Charmander. This is very useful when users want to progress through the Pokemon list systematically.
  • Pokemon Types Filters: The Pokemon Smash or pass tool supports type-based filtering which includes Normal, Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, Steel and Fairy. This allows users to create focused challenges.
  • Generation Filters: Here, users can select Pokemon generations up to 9 which allows the users to focus on a particular generation.
  • Region Filters: The tool allows users to filter Pokemon by different regions like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar and Paldea. This option provides another way to customise the deck.
  • Include Legendary Pokémon: The setting page also includes “ Include legendary Pokémon”. You can enable and disable according to the filtering rules. This gives control whether legendary Pokémon are part of their rating session or not.
  • Skip pokemon you're already rated: This setting option is useful for long term use. When it is enabled, Pokemon already rated by the player can be skipped ( if the player is already rated the Pokemons).
  • Reset all settings: The reset all settings button returns the configurable game options to their default state. It is useful when a player wants to experiment with the filters and wants to start with a clean configuration.
  • Trainer stats: The stats tab turns the player decisions and choices into a complete personal analytics dashboard. It contains “ your trainer stats”. Beside these the dashboard also includes several metrics.
  • Rated: The rated number represents how many Pokemon the user has rated .
  • Smash rate: The smash rate shows the percentage of recorded decisions that were Smash.
  • Pass rate: The pass rate shows the percentage of recorded decisions that were passed.
  • Hivemind sync: The Hivemind sync is a gamified metric which shows how many players' choices compare with the voting pattern represented by the application's local voting data. This feature gives the player another way to interpret their choices beyond simple smash or pass percentage.
  • Trainer Taste Archetype: The tool gives the users a trainer taste archetype. The purpose is to turn statistical activity into a more game-like vibes. As users make more choices their profile becomes more developed.
  • Trainer Rank: The trainer assigns a level system to give a sense of progression. Instead of just tracking how many Pokemon have been rated, the trainer rank can represent progress through a pokemon trainer style ranking.
  • Total XP: The total XP system is designed to reward activity and contribute to trainer progression within the game. As users continue rating Pokemon, their XP and corresponding trainer progression can improve as per the tool algorithm.
  • Favourite type: This advanced Pokemon Smash or pass tool can determine a users favourite type from their Pokemon choices by analysing users voting behaviour and identify the type associated with their strongest preferences.
  • Pokedex progress: The tool tracks Pokedex progress. If the user rates unique pokemon, this percentage can increase.
  • Decision distribution: This stats page Includes a visual decision distribution. It shows the relationship between smash or pass; instead of requiring users to interpret raw numbers, the visual bars make their overall decision patterns easy to understand.
  • Clear all stats: This is a reset option for the players recorded statistics/history. This is separate from “ reset all settings” which reset only game configuration and “Clear all stats” means reset all recorded rating information/statistics.
  • Your history: The Pokemon Smash or pass tool records the players' decisions in the “your history” section. The interface provides filters such as all, smash, and pass, which allows and creates users to review their choices and record of Pokemon that have been rated. You can search by Pokemon name or pokédex number. This makes a large rating history easier to navigate. Therefore, selecting smash filters shows Pokemon the user has selected and selecting the pass history shows the user has passed on. So, together the two filters provide a simple personal record of their Pokemon preferences.
  • Export CSV: The tool includes a standard comma separated values (CSV) export option. This gives users ownership of their rating history in a portable format to share.
  • Share your result card: Share your result card is at the button of the stats page. This feature gives freedom to the players to share the Pokemon statistics into a sharable result. The results card includes information such as: Pokémon rated, smash rate, Pass rate, favorite type, trainer level, trainer archetype and Pokédex progress.
